About us

The Batch Matatag, also affectionately known as the Millennium Batch, comprises individuals who proudly graduated on March 30, 2001, from Isabela National High School during the pivotal period surrounding the turn of the millennium. This cohort embarked on their high school journey from Monday, June 2, 1997, until their momentous graduation day on Friday, March 30, 2001, marking the culmination of their Secondary Education Development Program (SEDP) experience, predating the widespread implementation of the K-12 program.

Notably, we hold the distinction of being the sole batch to have navigated the landscape of high school education under the stewardship of three Philippine presidents: Fidel Ramos (1992-1998), Joseph Estrada (1998-2001), and Gloria Arroyo (2001-2010). Our educational journey unfolded against the backdrop of shifting political landscapes, enriching our experiences with a profound sense of historical significance.

Furthermore, we stand as one of the final groups of graduates to undergo training in the Reserved Officers Training Course (ROTC) before the inception of the National Service Training Program (NSTP). This underscores our unique position in history, as we straddled the transition from traditional to contemporary approaches in national service education.

As members of the Batch Matatag, we share a collective pride in our rich heritage and a deep sense of camaraderie forged through shared experiences and enduring memories. Our journey symbolizes resilience, adaptability, and the unwavering spirit of determination that continues to define us as individuals and as a community.
